Week 2 Game Idea Generation

Hello guys and welcome to my second entry for game development. So, this week was really intriguing we were put into groups and had to come up with a game idea using methods like SCAMPER. So, my group consisting of Eldan, Darren, Katheryne and your boy (myself).  Created this game called realm of legends, we took inspiration from league of legends, genshin impact and the sims franchise; to create this  mmo rpg, battle royale, king of the hill, looter-based   game  in 3D P.O.V.  That allows character customization (courtesy of the sims) and choosing an element for your character and different elemental reactions and having party members (taken from Genshin impact and league of legends). The game is aimed to cater for both casual players who just want to mingle and communicate with their friends and show off their skins (such as in sims) and also for players who are more competitive.  We took the areas which we felt were lacking from the 3 games we took insp...

Game Review

  Dream Cream   The premise of the game is simple and straightforward, which is to collect all the specified ingredients. The assets of the game are well chosen and well designed it matches the title and gives off a cutesy, girly vibe which is appropriate for its intended target audience young female children. There is a nice attention to detail for the enemies(vegetables) in which their facial expressions show a frown on their face. I personally would’ve found it weird that these enemies are smiling, and I can distinguish (at my age of 21) logically that the vegetables are the enemies, but it might be confusing for younger children aged 4-6 who may not deduce this from the get-go on the first sight of the enemy. The background music is inclusive of this since it gives a flimsy and whimsical feeling, which can be associated with or is like the typical Disney princess exploring an enchanted forest.
